These Easy Ham and Cheese Sliders are a delicious combo of ham, swiss and provolone cheeses, on sweet dinner rolls, and topped with a yummy butter sauce. They are a breeze to whip up and the perfect appetizer for game days, parties and any celebration.

If you are looking for an easy appetizer or snack to bring to an event or just want a super simple but delicious dinner, this easy recipe is the ticket. They literally only take minutes to assemble and are a huge hit with the family.

Easy Ham and Cheese Sliders Ingredients

    • Sweet Hawaiian Dinner Rolls
    • Swiss Cheese Slices
    • Provolone Cheese Slices
    • Deli Ham Slices
    • Salted Butter
    • Dried Minced Onion
    • Garlic Powder
    • Black Pepper
    • Poppy Seeds

    Substitution Suggestions:

    • Sweet Hawaiian Dinner Rolls: If you are not a fan of the Hawaiian rolls, you can use butter rolls or plain yeast dinner rolls. Also, you can use large Hawaiian buns and make them full size sandwiches.
    • Swiss and Provolone Cheese: Feel free to use the cheese you like best. Cheddar and Gruyere are great options. I like to use Swiss for the flavor and Provolone for the cheese pull. Provolone is a littler harder of a cheese but it creates really good cheese pulls.
    • Deli Ham Slices: To keep this recipe super simple, I use the already sliced deli ham. Black forest or honey ham works, use the one you like best or is on sale. You can also use any type of leftover ham that has been cut as thin as possible.
    • Butter Sauce: The sauce on top is what takes these sliders over the top. It's simple and made with pantry staples. If you don't like onion, simply leave it out or replace it with some onion powder. You can also use a fresh grated onion for a more pungent onion flavor.
    • Optional: If you love mustard on your sandwiches, spread some dijon, spicy or yellow mustard on the bottom half of the rolls while assembling.

    Make Ahead Instructions

Prep the sliders the day before, cover with foil and refrigerate. Take the rolls out while the oven preheats and then bake according to recipe directions.

Storing and Reheating Ham and Cheese Sliders

Storing: Store any leftover sliders in an air tight container in the fridge for a few days.

Reheating: You can reheat them in the microwave until warmed through. But these sliders are best when wrapped in foil and reheated at 350°F in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
