I have been cooking from scratch for years, starting as a teenager and now cooking for my own family, so I know how to turn simple ingredients into recipes people keep coming back to. In my kitchen, I focus on easy homemade recipes that are reliable and full of flavor, and this dip is one I have made time and time again. I grew up eating this dip because my grandma and mom made it often, so it is one of those recipes that brings back the best memories while still being simple and delicious today.

Onion Soup Mix Dip Recipe Ingredients
- Homemade Onion Soup Mix : you can also use the store bought envelopes. I think the homemade stuff tastes way better!
- Sour Cream: Plain Greek yogurt is a great tasty substitute.
- Black Pepper
- Parsley: for garnish

How To Make Onion Soup Mix Dip
- In a medium bowl, combine the homemade onion soup mix, sour cream and black pepper. Stir it together well.
- Cover and chill the dip for at least an hour. This helps the texture of the dip to be perfect!
- Sprinkle some fresh or dried parsley on top of the dip before serving.
- Serve and enjoy!

Expert Tip: Since this is a sour cream based dip it should only be left sitting at room temperature for 2 hours. To allow it to stay out longer I like to place the bowl of dip in a larger bowl that is filled with ice or ice packs. You can cover them with a cute towel for serving. This way the dip stays chilled and you can extend the 2 hour period.
Serving Onion Soup Mix Dip
Serve this dip with your favorite potato chips! Growing up we always ate the dip with corn chips and pretzel rods. You can also use it with crackers and veggies. It tastes so good with carrots and radishes!
