With experience from both restaurant kitchens and many years of feeding my own hungry family, I have learned how to make homemade recipes that are trustworthy, family friendly, and flavorful. I test everything until my kids and taste testers give it a thumbs up, and I bring that same from scratch style and Midwest know how to every recipe I share. When I say this dip is a winner, it is because it has been made, tasted, tweaked, and loved more than a few times in my kitchen.

Why We Love this Everything Bagel Dip

    • It takes only a few minutes to mix together with basic ingredients.
    • You can make it ahead and keep it chilled until serving.
    • It fits right in on any snack board or appetizer spread.
    • It works for parties, holidays, game days, or easy afternoon snacking.
    • Kids and adults both love it!

    Everything Bagel Dip Recipe Ingredients

    • Cream Cheese
    • Sour Cream
    • Everything Bagel Seasoning
    • Dried Minced Onion

    Substitute Suggestions

    • Cream Cheese: If you like you can use Neufchatel Cheese. The dip won't be as rich but it will still be tasty.
    • Sour Cream: Substitute plain Greek yogurt. We tried both, the family voted on the sour cream one. Personally, I loved them both. I happen to love yogurt though. The yogurt gives it just a teeny bit of tang and zip.
    • Everything Bagel Seasoning: There are so many different flavors of everything bagel seasoning. Use your favorite! We really love the original, Himalayan pink salt, and I personally love the jalapeno one.
    • Dried Minced Onion: You could use a ยผ teaspoon of onion powder instead.

How to Make Creamy Everything Bagel Dip

    1. First, add the softened cream cheese to a mixing bowl and beat until smooth and no lumps remain. I like to use the stand mixer or a hand beater.
    2. Next, stir in the sour cream, bagel seasoning and minced onion until thoroughly combined.
    3. Put in serving bowl and chill until ready to serve.

    Serving Bagel Dip

This easy bagel dip is perfect for parties, snacks, and weekend hangouts, and it tastes great with a variety of dippers. Here are a some delicious options:

    • Bagel Chips
    • Pretzels and Pretzel Thins
    • Corn Chips
    • Thinly Sliced Baguette
    • Tortilla Chips
    • Assortment of Crackers
    • Pita Chips
    • Cut up Bagels
    • Variety of Veggies like: cucumbers, carrots, bell peppers, celery

Expert Tip: Since this is a cream cheese based dip it should only be left sitting at room temperature for 2 hours. To allow it stay out longer I like to place the bowl of dip in a larger bowl that is filled with ice or ice packs. You can cover them with a cute towel for serving. This way the dip stays chilled and you can extend the 2 hour period.
