- Green Onions
- Dried Chives
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Cooked Diced Chicken Breast
- Cooked and Crumbled Bacon
- Grape Tomatoes
- Romaine Lettuce Leaves
Substitution Suggestions
- Plain Greek Yogurt: Sour cream can be substituted.
- Green Onions: Fresh chopped chives, a small minced shallot, or a bit of minced red onion can be used. I prefer the flavor and texture of the green onions.
- Dried Chives: Fresh chives can be used or a little extra onion powder.
- Cooked Diced Chicken Breast: You can use chicken thighs or turkey meat. A rotisserie chicken makes this recipe even easier as well as leftover chicken. You can also use drained, canned chicken.
- Bacon: If you prefer you can use turkey bacon. I like the real stuff better, but you use what you like.
- Grape Tomatoes: Cherry tomatoes, diced roma tomatoes, campari tomatoes or beefsteak tomatoes could also be used.
- Romaine Lettuce Leaves: Butterhead lettuce, leaf lettuce, iceberg lettuce or endive are all good substitutions.
- Variations: If you love avocado you can make BLTA chicken salad lettuce wraps by adding a diced avocado to the chicken salad mix or adding on top of the salad.
Chicken BLT lettuce wraps are an incredibly easy dinner that the entire family is going to love!

What to Serve with Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps
These chicken salad lettuce wraps are a complete meal. However, sometimes I like to add some more sides to the meal for the kids. Here are some of their favorites:
Storing BLT Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Store the chicken salad and romaine lettuce separate. Put the chicken salad in an air tight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Tips for Chicken Salad Lettuce Cups
- Prep the chicken beforehand to make this dish come together really fast. I like to use this Instant Pot Shredded Chicken.
- Along with the chicken, make the crispy bacon. I make my bacon using the baking method. So easy and so much cleaner.
- To make less dishes, mix the dressing in a large mixing bowl then add the chicken, bacon and green onions.
- This is a great recipe for meal prep. Make the chicken salad and store it in meal prep containers with the romaine lettuce and tomatoes on the side.
