Sweet and tender Honey Garlic Glazed Carrots are the perfect side dish to any weeknight meal. They are simple, delicious and only take minutes!

I can't help but think of my sweet niece, Brekyn, every time I make carrots. She has been in love with carrots since she was old enough to gnaw on them. And corn! She loves corn! But that's a story for a different recipe! I've made these carrots for her and she has given them a thumbs up! Since I have her approval, I will share the recipe with the rest of you!

How to Make Honey Garlic Glazed Carrots

    Ingredients Needed

    • 2 pounds carrots, peeled and cut into 2 inch chunks
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 tablespoons salted butter
    • 1 garlic clove, minced
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • salt and pepper

This is a great recipe to make when your carrots are starting to grow! I often make different types of cooked carrots for a side dish at dinner when the carrots are starting to sprout a bit. It's a great way to use them and not waste them.

    Make an Easy Side Dish!

Once the carrots are peeled and chopped, place them in a skillet with deep sides. Add the water and turn the heat on to medium. Let them steam until all the water has evaporated and carrots are tender. This takes about 15 minutes or so.

Next add the butter and garlic. Saute for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant. Add the honey and stir it all together. Cook the carrots for another 3-5 minutes until a glaze is created and the carrots are fork tender. (Meaning you can easily poke the carrots with a fork.) Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve these sweet carrots alongside any main entree for dinner! So tasty and delicious!
