Step by Step Instructions to Make Strawberries & Cream Stuffed French Toast
Step 1:
Gather all your ingredients, then combine the strawberries and sugar in a small bowl, stir them together and set the bowl aside for later.
Step 2:
In another small bowl, mix together the cream cheese and vanilla, until cheese is smooth and also set that bowl aside.
Step 3:
Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and pinch salt in a large mixing bowl.
Step 4:
Now it is time to assemble the stuffed french toast. First, spread the cream cheese evenly over every piece of french bread. Then top 6 slices of bread evenly with the strawberries. Take the other 6 slices of bread and top the strawberry covered bread slices to make sandwiches. Give it a little smoosh so the sandwich will stay together.
Step 5:
Dunk each sandwich in the egg custard making sure to coat the entire sandwich. Then place the sandwich on a preheated griddle or in a frying pan with some melted butter. Cook the sandwiches until golden brown about 2-3 minutes, then flip the stuffed french toast and cook another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and egg custard is fully cooked.
Step 6:
Serve with warm maple syrup and extra strawberries! Dig in Friends!
