A healthy and hearty breakfast is what this Ham & Cheese Oven Omelet is all about! Quick to get in the oven and perfect for breakfast, lunch, snack, even dinner and does great in packed lunches!

My kids are obsessed with egg dishes. They ask for them all the time. This egg dish is extremely easy, and quick to prep and get in the oven. One of the best things about this dish is that it is made with only 6 ingredients! Y'all know how much I love recipes with minimal ingredients! Bonus!!! This Ham & Cheese Oven Omelet is healthy, so I don't mind when the kids are constantly asking for it.

How To Make Ham & Cheese Oven Omelet

    Ingredients Needed

    • 8 large eggs
    • ½ cup milk
    • 1½ cups diced ham
    • 1½ cups shredded cheese (any flavor you like)
    • 1 tablespoon dried chives
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper

    Instructions

First preheat the oven to 400° and grease a 9 inch pie plate or a 9 x 9 baking dish. Now, gather all your ingredients!

    Step 1:

Combine the eggs and milk together and whisk until completely smooth.

    Step 2:

Stir in ham, 1 cup of the cheese followed by the seasonings, chives and pepper into the egg mixture.

    Step 3:

Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and then sprinkle the rest of the shredded cheese on top, which results in a perfect layer of crispy cheese after being baked.

    Step 4:

Time to bake the omelet for 35-45 minutes until the eggs are fully cooked through and the top has turned golden brown. I like to use a butter knife inserted in the center of the omelet to test if the eggs are cooked through. Works like a charm!

    Final Step: EAT!!!
