This recipe for Taco Flavored Steak Fries is a great way to dress up those frozen fries! So simple, only a few ingredients needed, and a nice change to the ordinary french fry line up!

I'm going to tell you guys a secret, it's about my husband. He does read my blog believe it or not, and he might get a little ticked off at me for this, but it is well worth it. 😂 Chad's nick name is French Fry. Want to know how he got it? Supposedly the story goes that Chad, who has had a love affair with potatoes since he was old enough to gnaw on them, loved french fries so much that his hockey teammates used to dangle fries in front of him to make him skate faster. I'm going to assume it most definitely worked! He is still called French Fry by some friends and family, but mostly, it is his name at work. There are many Chads at his place of employment, so my Chad has got dubbed "French Fry" and I think it is just hilarious!

So, anywaaaaaays, I do make french fries a lot because Chad still has a love affair with them. I like to make them homemade, but sometimes I need a quicker method. Frozen fries are a staple in this house and it is because of Chad. He'd have them with every meal if I let him. However, I tend to get burnt out on the same old thing, so I got a little adventurous and made these taco flavored fries. They were a winner and Chad would definitely skate faster for them!

How To Make Taco Flavored Steak Fries

    Ingredients Needed

    • 2 pound  bag steak fries (or any fry you prefer)
    • 2 teaspoons taco seasoning, I use my Homemade Blend
    • 1 teaspoon salt

    Instructions To Make Flavored Fries

These fries are simple. Follow the instructions on the bag of fries to prepare them in the oven. My instructions were: preheat oven to 425°, place fries in a single layer on a baking sheet, and bake for 20-25 minutes flipping half way through. I almost always bake mine a little longer because Chad and Bailee like them crispy.

Once the fries have finished baking, remove them from the oven and immediately sprinkle them with taco seasoning and salt. Toss them with some tongs or a spatula to evenly coat them.

That's it!!! So simple and a great enhancement to any fry! Serve these tasty fries on taco night, or as a side to any tex-mex meal!
