Honey Mustard Chicken

This Honey Mustard Chicken is an easy dinner recipe that makes juicy chicken coated in a sweet and tangy sauce. Super simple supper that is great any day of the week.

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish or 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl combine the sauce ingredients: spicy brown mustard, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper. Whisk together until everything is fully incorporated.
  • Trim the chicken if needed and pound them to all the same thickness. The chicken should be no thicker than an inch. Season chicken with some salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breast and sear each side for 2 minutes until they are a light golden brown.
  • Place the seared chicken breasts in prepared baking dish or use oven safe skillet.
  • Spoon or pour the honey mustard sauce over the chicken. Turn the chicken to coat both sides.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, remove foil cover and bake another 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature has reached 160°F when inserted in the thickest part of the chicken.
  • Let chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving.
