Equipment

Ingredients

  • 7-10 pound bone-in ham
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup salted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Pat the ham dry. If you are not using a spiral ham score the ham in ½ inch pieces cutting at least ¼ inch down. This allows the fat to render more easily and the honey butter mixture to flavor the ham more.
  • Place the ham in the crock pot flat side down.
  • Pour the apple juice into the crock pot.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and melted butter. Pour the mixture over the top of the ham coating the top and sides. Use a pastry brush, if needed, to spread it out all over the ham.
  • Cook the ham on low temperature for 4-5 hours, basting every hour, until the temperature has reached 140°F.
  • Serve with all your favorite sides an enjoy!
