Crock Pot Busy Day Steak

Your slow cooker will do all the work with this easy and delicious Crock Pot Busy Day Steak. The end result will be the most tender beef with a delicious and creamy gravy! A perfect meal for those busy days!

  • Cut the round steak into 5-6 chunks and place in bottom of lined or greased crock pot. Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper.
  • If using mushrooms, place them on top of the beef.
  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the flour and cook 1 minute.
  • Slowly pour in the beef broth while whisking the whole time. Whisk until all the flour is incorporated.
  • Whisk in the milk and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bring the gravy to a boil and boil for 1-2 minutes while slowly whisking.
  • The gravy is done when it coats the back of a spoon or spatula.
  • Pour the gravy over the beef. Then sprinkle the onion soup mix over the gravy.
  • Set the crock pot to low for 7-8 hours or high 4-5 hours.

Notes

Crock pot liners can be found in grocery stores by the zip top bags. They are so great for easy clean ups!
