Mashed Potatoes in Instant Pot

This Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes Recipe is an easy homemade side dish that turns out smooth, creamy, and perfect every time. A simple, no fuss recipe that is great for weeknights or holiday meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Peel potatoes and place in bowl of cold water as you go.
  • Cube potatoes and place in Instant Pot.
  • Add water and salt.
  • Place lid on and set to manual high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Once time is up, carefully do a quick pressure release. Remove lid after valve stem has dropped.
  • Add butter and mash potatoes with hand masher or electric beater.
  • Stirk in milk, salt and black pepper.
  • Serve and enjoy!
