Homemade Taco Seasoning

Homemade Taco Seasoning is an easy, flavorful blend of pantry spices that adds the perfect kick to all your favorite taco night meals. Ditch the store-bought packets and whip up this simple seasoning in minutes. Great for tacos, burritos, dips, and more!

Ingredients

Taco Seasoning:

Taco Meat:

  • 1 pound meat, cooked and drained
  • 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup water

Instructions

How to Make Taco Seasoning

  • Mix all the seasonings into a pint mason jar with a lid.
  • Shake it until thoroughly mixed.

How to Make Taco Meat:

  • Add 2 heaping tablespoons taco seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt and ¾ cup water to cooked and drained meat.
  • Simmer meat over medium-low heat until bubbly. Simmer until some of the liquid has reduced and absorbed into the meat.
  • Remove from heat and make tacos!

Notes

*For a more spicy taco seasoning you can add more cayenne pepper to your liking.
