Chocolate Sugar Cookies

Chocolate Sugar Cookies are soft and chewy, have the most intense chocolate flavor, and are so easy to make! No chilling, no rolling and no fuss! This chocolaty and sweet cookie will not last long!

  • Preheat oven to 350° and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating well.
  • Add the baking soda, baking powder, salt, coffee granules, cocoa powder and flour. Mix on low just until it is all combined.
  • Use a medium size cookie scoop and place cookie dough 3 inches apart on baking sheets.
  • Place ¼ cup of sugar into a bowl, dampen the bottom of a glass with wet paper towels and place the damp glass in the bowl of sugar. Flatten the cookie to ⅓ inch thick with the glass. You may have to wipe the glass clean a few times.
  • Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. Let cool on pan for 3 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
