Chocolate Chip Waffles

Chocolate Chip Waffles are fluffy, crisp and a delightful breakfast to start your day right. This is an easy homemade recipe that will make good use of that waffle maker!

Ingredients

  • 4 cup flour
  • 2 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • cups milk
  • 2 Tablespoon honey , or sweetener of choice
  • 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • I large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  • In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, honey and vanilla extract.
  • Add wet ingredients to the flour mix and whisk just until combined.
  • Add butter and whisk gently.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Let waffle batter rest while the waffle iron preheats.
  • Add ladleful, about ½ cup, of batter to preheated waffle iron.
  • Follow your waffle iron directions to make waffles.
  • Mine usually takes about 3-4 minutes.
