Author: Heather

Ingredients

  • ½ cup milk, any type of milk will do
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 medium banana
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • whip cream, optional
  • chocolate syrup, optional

Instructions

  • Blend the banana, eggs, and vanilla in a food processor or blender until smooth.
  • In a small sauce pan, warm milk on low heat. Watch carefully!
  • Once the milk starts to bubble around the edges, turn off heat.
  • Quickly add the chocolate chips to the milk and stir until completely melted.
  • With the food processor/blender on, slowly add about ¼ of the chocolate mixture until mixed. (You are tempering the eggs so they don't scramble)
  • Slowly add the remaining of the chocolate mix while the food processor/blender is on.
  • Gently pour the mix into 5 or 6 small mason jars or dessert cups.
  • Place on a sheet pan or in a dish and chill in refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
  • Once chilled, you can top with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
