Easy Cheeseburger Soup Recipe

  • In a large dutch oven or soup pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain and discard any grease.
  • Add the diced onions and celery, and the butter. Cook until the onions are translucent and soft, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute.
  • Slowly add the chicken broth while stirring.
  • Stir in the salt, black pepper and dried parsley.
  • Slowly stir in the milk and bring soup to a low boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and add a few cheese slices at a time, stirring until melted after each addition.
  • Serve with your favorite cheeseburger fixings: cooked crumbled bacon, chopped pickles, croutons, or pickled jalapeños,
