Very Berry Apple Crisp

This Very Berry Apple Crisp is an incredibly easy dessert that has a sweet and juicy filling under a crunchy oat topping. A delicious dessert anytime of the year!

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar and oats. Cut in the butter with a fork until mix is crumbly.
  • Place fruit in a 9x13 baking dish and give it a slight toss to mix it up.
  • Sprinkle sugar and spice mix evenly over fruit.
  • Add oat mixture evenly on top of fruit and sugar.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes until fruit is tender and bubbly, and the oat topping is golden brown.
  • Let cool 15-20 minutes before serving. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

To make with frozen fruit: add 3 tablespoons of flour with the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Before adding the fruit to the baking dish, toss it with the sugar and flour mix until the fruit is coated. Then add it to the baking dish and proceed with recipe instructions.
