Chocolate Banana Bread is for all the chocolate lovers out there! A rich, tender and sweet banana bread that is full of chocolate goodness and will knock your socks off!
Preheat oven to 350° and grease or line two 9x5 loaf pans.
Beat together butter, cocoa powder, and sugars until thoroughly mixed.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.
Beat in vanilla extract.
Add baking soda, instant coffee, salt and 1 cup of the flour. Mix just until incorporated.
Add half of the mashed bananas, mix.
Add remaining 1½ cups flour, mix.
Add last of bananas and mix well.
Add milk and slowly mix in until the batter is smooth.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Evenly add batter to the prepared loaf pans. Optional: Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
Bake 55-65 minutes until a long toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Let bread cool in pan 15-20 minutes, then remove bread and cool completely.
Notes
To freeze bread: Let bread cool completely. Wrap in plastic wrap and place in a freezer safe zip top bag or air tight container. Don't forge to label and date.
