Chocolate Banana Bread

Chocolate Banana Bread is for all the chocolate lovers out there! A rich, tender and sweet banana bread that is full of chocolate goodness and will knock your socks off!

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° and grease or line two 9x5 loaf pans.
  • Beat together butter, cocoa powder, and sugars until thoroughly mixed.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.
  • Beat in vanilla extract.
  • Add baking soda, instant coffee, salt and 1 cup of the flour. Mix just until incorporated.
  • Add half of the mashed bananas, mix.
  • Add remaining 1½ cups flour, mix.
  • Add last of bananas and mix well.
  • Add milk and slowly mix in until the batter is smooth.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Evenly add batter to the prepared loaf pans. Optional: Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake 55-65 minutes until a long toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let bread cool in pan 15-20 minutes, then remove bread and cool completely.

Notes

To freeze bread: Let bread cool completely. Wrap in plastic wrap and place in a freezer safe zip top bag or air tight container. Don't forge to label and date.
