Homemade Buffalo Sauce

This Homemade Buffalo Sauce is easy peasy to make and super quick. It's made with only 6 ingredients: butter, vinegar, cayenne pepper sauce, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. No need to buy the bottled stuff, when this homemade version is so much better!
Course: Appetizer, Salad
Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • ½ cup cayenne pepper sauce, ex: Frank's Red Hot
  • 1 tablespoon distilled vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • pinch salt
  • ground cayenne pepper, optional

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a small sauce pot and heat on medium-low heat.
  • To add more spice: add a pinch of cayenne pepper or more if you want extra extra spicy.
  • Whisk until the butter is completely melted and the edges start to bubble, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  • Whisk a few times while sauce is cooling. Sauce will thicken a bit as it cools.
  • Store in air tight container or mason jar in fridge for up to 2 weeks.
