Homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is incredibly creamy and dreamy. This ice cream is a classic! Super simple and filled with tons of real little vanilla bean flecks.
Using a sharp pairing knife, slice the vanilla beans lengthwise. Use the tip of the knife to scrape the seeds out of the vanilla beans.
In a large bowl, whisk together the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, vanilla seeds, and salt until the sugar has dissolved.
Cover the bowl and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Follow your ice cream makers instructions to make the ice cream.
Normally at the end of the churning time, the ice cream will be a soft serve consistency. Place the ice cream in a freezer safe container and freeze for about 4 hours until the ice cream is firm.
