In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry and gently whisk together.
Add the butter and bananas, whisk just until combined.
Let the batter rest, while the griddle and oven preheat. Heat griddle to 350° and heat oven to 170°.
Using a ladle or ¼ cup pour the batter on the griddle. Cook the pancakes 2-3 minutes or until bubbles are forming and slightly popping on top of the batter.
Flip the pancakes and cook 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Remove finished pancakes and place on a baking sheet. Put the baking sheet in the oven to keep the pancakes warm between batches.

For the Fried Cinnamon Pancakes
Melt together the butter and syrup over medium-low heat until it starts to bubble.
Add the bananas and cinnamon and cook until the sauce is slightly thickened and the bananas are soft.
