Classic French Toast

This Classic French Toast recipe is so easy to whip up and is filled with amazing custard and cinnamon flavor. Top it with a drizzle of pure maple syrup and some fresh berries and everyone will be smiling all day after an amazing breakfast!

  • Preheat electric griddle to 350°F or a skillet with butter over medium heat.
  • Slice French Bread about 1 in thick at a diagonal to get at least 12 slices.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon very well until cinnamon is all incorporated and not clumped together.
  • Add cream and whisk until fully incorporated.
  • Dunk the sliced bread into the custard flipping the bread to coat it evenly.
  • Place the coated bread on the griddle or in skillet.
  • Cook each side about 2-3 minutes until a deep golden brown and there is no more raw custard visible.
  • Lather with butter, powdered sugar, berries, peanut butter, hazelnut spread, or chocolate chips, then drench with syrup and DIG IN!
