Crispy Air Fryer Breaded Tilapia is a quick and easy dinner recipe made with simple pantry staples. A healthy dinner idea that is crispy, flakey and completely delicious.
Spray the basket of the air fryer with some olive oil cooking spray. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
Pat the fish filets dry with paper towels and set aside.
In a shallow bowl combine breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley and salt.
In another shallow dish add the egg and beat it with a fork or whisk until frothy.
Add one tilapia filet to the beaten egg and coat both sides.
Place the egg coated piece of fish in the breading mixture. Turn it over and coat the other side. Pat the breading down with a fork or your fingers if needed. Shake off any excess and set aside on a baking sheet.
Repeat with the other fish filets until all are breaded.
Lightly spray the tops of the fish with olive oil cooking spray.
Place 2-3 filets in the air fryer, depending on how large your basket or shelf is.
Air fry for 7-8 minutes until the breading is golden brown and crispy, the fish is flakey and the internal temperature has reached 145°F. Repeat with remaining breaded filets.
