Easy Apple Cobbler

This Easy Apple Cobbler is the perfect fall dessert. Fresh sliced apples with cinnamon and a simple from scratch sweet biscuit topping completes this delicious dessert.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups peeled and sliced apples, ¼ inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 2 quart baking dish.
  • Peel and slice apples so they are ¼ inch thick.
  • Toss apples will lemon juice and spread in prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle sugar evenly over apples, followed by the cinnamon.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine: all purpose flour, sugar and baking powder.
  • Cut in cold cubed butter with your fingers or a pastry blender until it resembles course crumbs.
  • Stir in buttermilk just until fully incorporated.
  • Dollop biscuit topping over the apples.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until top is golden brown and apples are fork tender.
  • Let cobbler cool for 10 minutes before serving. Make it al a mode and serve it with ice cream.
